AISI 4340 and 4140 Low Alloy Steel Powder
AISI 4340 is a heat treatable medium-carbon, low-alloy steel alloyed with nickel, chromium and molybdenum, comparable with no-nickel added 4140. Both are suitable for heat treatment by quench and tempering to achieve high hardness and toughness. They are designed for additive manufacturing and metal injection moulding.
