Cobalt powder
Cobalt powders are commonly used to manufacture superalloys which are used to produce magnetic, wear- and corrosion resistant and high-strength products. Like iron, cobalt is magnetic and can be used to make magnets. Its main application is additive manufacturing (AM) and surface coating, such as laser cladding and plasma transferred arc (PTA).
Cobalt powder is also used for superhard alloy materials (such as cemented carbide and artificial diamond tools). Its performance determines the bonding performance, strength and toughness of superhard alloy materials, and is crucial to the use performance of superhard alloy materials.
